Update to my life..........

I finished my masters degree. I am so excited. Jan and Spencer got married on March 4, 2011 in the Salt Lake Temple. It was very neat. Also that day I tripped over Jan's train to her dress and broke my hand. I have a pretty purple cast. I went all day with it broken and finally went to the emergency room at 12:00 that night. I didn't wanbt to take attention away from them. Spencer is a good addition to our family. They met on their missions. Cute huh! Mike and Kira are cute parents. Avery and Grant are lucky to have them. They get to be sealed as a family on April 10th. I am so excited for them. Mom is still cancer free. I love teaching, writiing on the board at school is interesting but fun with my broken hand. I feel so blessed to be apart of my family.

Michael and Kira adopted Avery. She is the cutest little girl. Grant is a good, big brother. I am so happy they get to have her.

Waiting Forever

We have been waiting all day for Mike and Kira's baby. Mom and Dean get to go take care of Grant tomorrow. They are so lucky. I bet Grant has no idea what is going on. I hope Mike and Kira are doing okay. I can't wait to see their baby girl. So exciting!

Disneyland Tomorrow

Wel it is here, the night before we go on our trip to Disneyland. I am so excited. Mom, Dean, Me, and Jan are going. This will be my first time going. I can't believe it is true. It is going to be so much fun. We are planning on going to Knott's Berry Farm as well. It is going to be so much fun, I can't wait. I have waited 28 years to finally go there. I will share what happened later until then, I will be in the happiest place on Earth. DISNEYLAND!

The 4th of July

The fourth of July is my favorite. I love the fireworks they are lots of fun. I get to spend time with my family. Everyone is coming tomorrow for a big cookout. Plain City has the best 4th of July Celebration I am super excited.

Jan is home!

Well since this weekend couldn't get any better. My sister came home Wednesday, June 5 from Farnkfurt, Germany off of her mission. She looks really good. I can't wait to hear more about her mission on her homecoming on Sunday. She is excited to tell about it.

Grant sealed to Mike and Kira

What a neat and fun weekend. Grant was seaed for time and all eternity to Mike and Kira. He is theirs forever. It was such a neat experience to be there for them. I am so heppy to be a member of the LDS church and to know that we will be together again someday with our families in the eternities. Also thios weekend, Mike gave Grant his baby blessing in church Sunday. He did such a good job you can tell he loves Grant so much.

Wow our family has grown so much this year. My sister will be coming home from her mission in June. wow time has really flown by. I am almost done with my masters I will graduate in December hopefully. I am super excited!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I am so excited for Christmas this year. My mom and I are not sick which is a blessuing. We don't have to be in hospital either. We are so blessed. I am so excited to hear from Jan on Christmas. She is in Germany right now on her mission. I was so excited yeasterday to get to lead my students in the si ng alkong. They did such a good job. We sang Holly Jolly Christmas. Christmas is in only two days. YIPEE!

Thanksgiving

Well Thanksgiving is almost here. I just wanted to take time and say what I am thankful for. I am so thankful for my family. I am thankful for my teaching job. I love the students I teach. I am thankful for my new nephew. He is the best. I am thankful for my health. I am also thankful for modern medicine. I am also thankful that my mom is cancer free. I am thankful for my sister who is serving a lds mission in Germany. I am also thankful for having a body that can do things like walk around. I love evryone that is in my life. I am also thankful for being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Scrapbooking!

Yes! I love scrapbooking! I love to do it because it is a creatrive way to do geneology. I have many volumes and plan to keep adding to them. I hope everyone will like them. I have enjoyed putting them togethert. Me and my mom even have our own scrapbook room. I love it!

Utah State University

The people at Utah State University have been fantastic. My students are really getting excited for college this year. That is exactly what this program we are doing is supposed to do. I love the monkey background for my blog. They make me happy.

I think my room is ready for kids to come on Monday. I am a little nervous but it will be fun. I need to remeber that I am the teacher and they will listen to me. I love teaching, this year will be a blast I am excited to start. My room is decorated for Utah State University for the kids to get excited to go to college after High School. I think it is going to be fun!

I am excited to start teaching again. I have been working on my masters which has been going good. It is a lot of hard work. I got a little look at my new students. So far I only have 18. I am in heaven. Every teacher dreams of that number. I bet we will have move ins, hopefully. That is okay though. I can't wait, I get excited at this time of the year. It nis exciting to start a new year with new challenges. "Teachers touch a child's life forever. "--Unknown I love that quote. Hopefully I will be able to do this. :)

Fireworks at Weber State

We had lots of fun at the fireworks. Me, Scott, Kira and Mike, Brian and Heidi, Dean, Mom. Tammy & Greg, Bryce, Trevor, Alison, Nathan, and Mallory. Jeremie & Cristy, Dillon, Kaylee, and Cole. We all got to talk to Jan on a tape. It was lots of fun. Mallory had fun feeding sour patch kids to me, mom, and Dean. She laughed trying to give them to us. Kaylee and Alison went under the blanket so pine needles wouldn't get them. Heidi and Brain, Kira and Michael, and Scott, played Clue with Dillon, Trevor and Bryce helping them. I think everyone had a good time together. The fireworks were lots of fun. They did quite a lot of them. This is a fun family tradition we have.

The 4th of July

This is my favorite holiday. July 3rd there is a big dinner. Then on the fourth of July they have a celebration. My mom and I went to it. We had lots of fun. Later we cooked hamburtgers on the grill. We went to the fireworksd. They were amazing. It was a fun day.

IT'S A BOY!

KIRA AND MICHAEL'S BABY THEY ARE ADOPTING, IS A BOY. I am so excited for them. You should have seen Michael's face. He was so proud. Kira is so excited too, to finally become a mother. They came to our house and showed us the ultrasound on a dvd that we got to watch.

I am so excited for my brother and soon to be sister-in-law. They will be great for each other. I am excited to have Heidi join our family. They are getting sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. I am glad they have chosen to get married there. I love both of them. Congratulations.

I love the summer. It has been a cool summer so far, it hasn't been that hot. I am not complaining. I love the tempoerature. It has rained a lot so the mountains are really green. I love when it is not so hot in the summer.

My brother and his wife got approved to adopt. They will be parents now. I am so excited to be an aunt. They will be finding out what they will be getting later on this week. They are going to Cheyenne where the birth mother is from. I am so glad that there are programs where they let you adopt. I am so glad that this girl chose Kira and Mike to be the parents of her child. They will be the best parents ever. I can guarantee that. I am so excited! It will be a fun Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. We have a lot to be thankful for this year.

School's Out

Yeah!!!!!!!!!School is out for the summer. I am kind of sad. I really enjoyed my class this year. They were a really cute class. I am going to miss them. I am taking my masters classes this summer. I hope they won't be too hard. I really like the class I am in right now. It has given me a lot of good ideas to teach reading next year. I also am learning a lot of thin gs I am going to change in my classroom next year.

I am so excited my mom is cancer free. I am so excited. Her hair is growing back now. She wears a hat but it is coming back slowly but surely. She has really gone through a lot. I am so glad she doesn't have to suffer anymore. She beat it! I have learned to take advantage of the time I have and not to waste it.

Masters of Education Program

Wow! I did it. I started my masters program. I never thought I would actually do it but I actually did. It takes about a year and a half. I am going to do it. I just needd to keep trying.

Hogle Zoo

I went to Hogle Zoo today with my students it was lots of fun. I took a lot of pictures of animals there at the zoo. it was crazy. Our bus broke down, and we sat in th parking lot of the Zoo for two hours. This will be a field trip they will always remember. What a crazy day! I loved it though.

I wento to the David Archuleta Concert at the E-Center on Friday! He sang so good. I loved it. I went with some friends from work. I will never forget it. He is so cute. I wish he were older. I was younger. He would be a candidate to marry. Sara Archuleta. You can dream though.

MY MOM

My mom is one of my best friends. I love her so much. It hurts me to see her go through cancer. (Lymphoma). There are days I would just take it away from her. I know she will get better. I just need to help her stay positive. When I learned about cancer in school, I thought to myself, no one in my family will ever get it. I guess I was wrong. I don't want to lose my mom, I love her too much. I hope that she knows that. I admire how strong she is. I don't know if I could do what she has had to go through. I love her sooooooooooo much. She is an example to me.

Teaching

Wow somedays can be so hard teaching. It is hard when second graders think they are smarter then you. I had one of those days. Only a couple of my students. I seriously love my class this year they make me smile. Parent Teacher Conference is coming up quick. I shouldn't have any bad ones this time. The joys of teaching!

SUPERBOWL

My family had our annual superbowl party. Mike and Kira, Brian and Heidi, me, Scott, Mom, and Dad watched the superbowl at our house. It was tons of fun, especially because the team I wanted to win, won. THE STEELERS! I was aso happy that they won the Superbowl. During half time everyone played CLUE. Me, Mom and Dad watched them play. We ate lots of food. ( I am now 100 pounds when I was 95 when Icame home from the hospital.) Thanks to the Superbowl food.

My sister is in Germany now. She is loving it so much. Sjhe told uas that she really likes her companion a lot. She said that she loves Germany it is so beautiful. She says the people that are investigating the church are really strong right now. She loves them. It is so much fun to hear freom my sister every week, to see how she is doing.

Temple Day- Jan's first time

Jan went through the Mt. Timpanogous Temple for her first time. I was so happy for her. She is going to be a fantastic missionary. I was glad I had gpne through before, so I could be there for her that day. She was so happy and excited. She said she felt overwhelmed with all that happened that day but she did fantastic.

It is not fun being sick

Well in August I started having problems. I had to go in the hospital in December and had Kidney Reflux Disease. I just barely got out of the hosipatl with a bladder infection. Yeah not. Going through this I have learned a lot. I am not as bad as like my mom who has cancer. I just wish everything would stop.

Jan my sister is in the MTC

Well Jan is in the MTC. We just got a tape from her. She is really getting the German down. She told us about the first vision. I am so excited for her. I can't wait to hear about all the things she does in Germany. She leaves the MTC on January 12th.

Christmas was lots of fun this year. Jan was in the MTC. Kira and Mike spent the night on Christmas Eve. They went to Kira's parents house for the rest of the day. It was fun to spend some time with the family all together.
